Multiplication is one of the trickiest binary arithmetic skills to master. However, it is worthwhile doing in order to make sure that you can understand the basic of how computer systems and programming langauge work at a compieler level.

There are a few rules to remember when learning to multiply binary. As we only have two digits we can summarise this into four rules:

- Rule 1: 0 x 0 = 0
- Rule 2: 0 x 1 = 0
- Rule 3: 1 x 0 = 1
- Rule 4: 1 x 1 = 1
